East Main Antiques: Where The Shopping Begins

When I first visited East Main Antiques, I was in for a surprise. The store was a lot bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. Not only that, but I was greeted by three adorable cats. Needless to say, I immediately liked the place and its owner, Loretta Grinker.

Located on the corner of East Main Street and Market, this beautiful antique store marks the beginning of the downtown shopping area. Once upon a time the building housed an Automobile Dealership, then it served as a Feed Store, and after that became an Antique Mall. Loretta, who is a self-taught artist, used to rent a booth at the Feed Store Antique Mall to exhibit her paintings. Later on she brought some antiques as well, and when the opportunity presented itself she acquired the store and renamed it to East Main Antiques.
