Introducing “Where In Washington?”

I am happy to announce that Re-Discover Washington is gaining popularity –  our Facebook page has 106 fans already! It has been almost two full months since I started the blog, and I have met so many wonderful people along the way! I discover something new about Washington all the time, and I hope the blog is helping you do the same. As small as our community might be, there are so many events going on all the time, and a huge number of individuals with visions who make them happen.

To celebrate the wonderful response to the blog, I decided to launch a new game! It is called “Where in Washington?”, and it naturally involves a photo. Every week I will be posting a picture from downtown Washington, and your job will be to guess where exactly it was taken. As you might have figured by now, I love to visit all the downtown nooks and crannies, so I will try to keep it hard. There will be prizes, of course! If you guess where the photo from this week was taken, you get to pick a person or place (related to downtown Washington) that I would feature in the blog! Ready? Set! Go!

Where in Washington was this photo taken? A hint for you: it couldn't be more downtown than that! You can leave your answers as a comment to this post. Be specific, please! The deadline is Monday evening, Dec. 26th. The first person to guess the exact spot gets to pick a topic (a person or a place) for me to blog about next week! Keep these comments coming! 🙂 You can also post your answers on the Facebook page underneath the photo.

  1. i’m going to guess in between the missouri meerschaum building and american bounty, off of front street. i wish i still lived in Washington, so this would be a lot easier!

  2. It is not Monday yet, but it’s Christmas and time for gifts! Congratulations to Nick Schultz for winning the “Where in Washington” game! He was the first to comment on the photo on Facebook, and he had the right answer! The steps are on the side of the BFA building on Elm street. As a winner, Nick gets to pick a topic for me to write on! It can be a place, person, or event related to downtown Washington! Look for the next “Where in Washington” game on Wednesday, this time it is sponsored by I.B. Nuts & Fruit, Too! Happy Holidays, everyone! Have a wonderful Christmas Day! 🙂
