I am posting something personal today, but I wanted to share with you the joy the blog brings into my life. It is the little things in life that count and put a smile on your face …
This box arrived in the mail yesterday. When I saw the label, I beamed: it was from the Honeycomb shop! (Doesn't sound familiar? Search the blog for Blanche Kern).
When I opened the box, I literally jumped for joy! Blanche remembered that I admired that particular hair beauty while I was at her studio, and she sent it to me! So sweet of her!
Of course, I had to try it on right away. And take a picture for the blog. I've been wearing it around town today 🙂 Thank you, Blanche, and thanks to all of you who appreciate the blog!
The wonderful gift from Blanche made my day. But there was more to come. Michelle Anne, the photography teacher at WHS who invited me to speak in front of her students, brought me this wonderful reading material. A card and a whole collection of "thank you" notes from her amazing students! I read them before I went to bed, and they just made my heart melt! If somebody had told me a year ago that this will happen to me, I would not believe them. The Re-Discover Washington blog is a result of me facing my fears and listening to my inner voice. The support I have found in the community continues to amaze me, and I am so happy we are Re-Discovering Washington together. A big THANK YOU to all of you!! 🙂
