This Is My Day: From Dawn Till Dusk

I keep claiming that there is more to Washington than you think… You just need to go out and explore!

7:14 AM. I decided to get up for the sunrise this morning. It's always beautiful by the riverfront.

7:16 AM. “At sunrise everything is luminous but not clear. It is those we live with and love and should know who elude us. You can love completely without complete understanding. - A River Runs Through it”

7:32 AM. The sun is up. It's a different world now.

7:34 AM. There is nothing quite like morning light. “It was only a sunny smile and little it cost in the giving but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

7:36 AM. Some people have the right idea on a beautiful day like today. The fish in the water is silent, the animals on the earth is noisy, the bird in the air is singing. But man has in him the silence of the sea, the noise of the earth and the music of the air.” Rabindranath Tagore

7:37 AM. It's a new day, it's a new dawn...

7:41 AM. “The living self has one purpose only: to come into its own fullness of being, as a tree comes into full blossom, or a bird into spring beauty, or a tiger into lustre” D.H. Lawrence

3:07 PM. Adorable vintage sock monkeys at Country Living Antiques, Collectibles and More.

3:33 PM. A little something for everyone from I.B. Nuts & Fruit Too: perfect little gifts to bring happiness in somebody's day.

6:09 PM. Dinner. Pretty salad bowl from the Pot Shop.

6:55 PM. Sunset over Washington. ‎"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." Albert Einstein

7:04 PM Storm in the making. “Life does not consist mainly, or even largely, of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thought that is forever flowing through one's head.” Mark Twain.

7:10 PM. I love to look at the windows of the Art Center in the evening. They are always so beautifully decorated!

7:13 PM. “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.” Rabindranath Tagore

7:29 PM. Because no meal is complete without dessert. Raspberry Truffle Concrete from Paradise Custard. “Just think of all those women on the Titanic who said, "No, thank you," to dessert that night. And for what!” Erma Bombeck

  2. Thanks Slava for letting me see Washington through your camera lens while I am working….Your pics are awesome like I stated before. Makes me want to get up and be at the riverfront at 7:00 in the morning……well, let me rethink that 🙂 how about you keeping taking pictures and keep scaring. 🙂
