Ancient Egypt Part II: Cairo, the Nile, and the Pyramids of Giza

When in 2008 we went on a Mediterranean Cruise, one of the reasons we wanted to go so bad was to see the Pyramids in Egypt. The ship was going to be docked in Alexandria for two days, giving us ample time to admire one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. After spending day one in the The Pearl Of The Mediterranean, we were looking forward to going to Cairo by bus the next day and admiring the Pyramids of Giza. As the Latin expression goes, “Veni, vidi, vici” –  we went, we saw, but did we conquer anything at all? Cairo and the Pyramids left us with mixed feelings, but I would still like to go back…

  3. Was there ever a lost Pharaoh ever recorded or known by the Egyptian in the Ancient time.
