Visiting A Master Gardener: An Oasis On 5th Street

My good friend and artist Beverly Ann Wells, the Director of ARTCanDo, is a Master Gardener, too. We went for an early morning walk this week, and then she invited me to take a look at her back yard. I was amazed and had to share some pictures with you!

A beautiful garden is a constant work in progress...

I LOVE this tree!

Everything has its place. What a clever use for driftwood!

Another beautiful area. Some of the rusty pieces came from Willow Creek Antiques.

I would gladly sit underneath the pine trees on a hot summer day.

My most favorite spot!

The view from the swing. Can you believe this is right off 5th Street?

Up close.

Love me some color.

Don't be afraid to use rocks for landscaping.

Afternoon coffee/tea? Yes, please! Thank you so much for the tour, Beverly Ann!

The good news is that you can enjoy this beautiful landscaping, too! Beverly Ann’s gorgeous garden will be on the Franklin County Master Gardeners Tour, on Saturday, June 23 from 9 am. until 4 pm. You can purchase tickets for the tour at Hillermann Nursery and Florist in Washington. For more information call 636.583.8568 or 636.451.2013.

  1. I loved this story Slava. Bev is my cousin but I have not had the privilege of visiting her back yard. I can’t wait to see it!!! Her garden is on a public tour in June sponsored by the Master Gardeners of Franklin County!,!

See has a great eye for art….indoor AND out!!

  2. What a gorgeous garden! Thanks for posting this. I had the privilege of working with Ann a few years ago. I heard her speak of her garden, but never imagined it’s beauty! She definitely has an eye for landscape design. If I am in the area, I would love to take the tour.

I hope all is well for you Ann! You are so very talented in your gardening and your artwork.
