Foggy Sunshine

“Let us go in; the fog is rising.”

Emily Dickinson

Did you see the fog this morning? I wasn’t planning on going out, but it was still there when I came out of the shower and I knew I couldn’t miss a photo opportunity like that.

I love foggy mornings. They make the familiar appear so much more mysterious...

The bridge, wrapped in layers of thick fog... No, it's not London, but it felt like it...

Words that come to mind when I look at this photo: "vanish", "envelope", "drift into the unknown"... The town was flooded with sunlight, but the river still remained under the heavy blanket of the fog.

Watching the Sun come out of the fog was amazing...

And in some moments it was gone...

The sunshine gave everything a completely different look... Contrasts are beautiful.

Some of the fog was still lurking above the river...

These guys were doing some push-ups...

The fog was turning into a distant memory...

If you didn't see it, you wouldn't know it was ever there...

“It is not the clear-sighted who rule the world. Great achievements are accomplished in a blessed, warm fog.”

Joseph Conrad
