Do you know what’s happening this weekend? Washington is celebrating its 175th Anniversary!!! There will be a grand parade, picnic and so many more fun events! Here is the scoop!
Since this is a once-in-a-life-time event, the right thing to do is to celebrate for some days in a row!
There is still time to get tickets for John G’s Bier Deck’s fundraiser to benefit the Washington Historical Society. They will have fireworks at dusk!!
On Saturday, May 24 2014, be prepared for a grand parade!
The Parade will feature seven anchor floats which have been built by different service organizations in town and feature the following categories: Freedom, Education, Industry, Agriculture, Commerce, Family Life, Volunteerism. They all look amazing, I cannot wait to see them completed!
The Parade Committee has been working hard to secure some amazing floats, bands and even the Clydesdales!
After the parade, the fun continues with the 175th Anniversary Picnic! Lots of events for the whole family have been planned!
The festivities go on until the evening. Battle of the Bands sounds very promising and fun!
So now you have big plans for the weekend! See you at the parade 🙂
