What Does 2015 Hold for Downtown?

With the year coming to an end, it’s always nice to look back and reflect. 2014 has been amazing for Downtown Washington! We got quite a few new businesses downtown (BAH! Yarns, Rodrigo Pineda Photography, My Vintage Varia, 5th Street Bistro, Elements of Health, just to name a few) and all the festivals and events keep bringing bigger crowds! I’ve been enjoying walking the downtown streets daily, eating delicious dishes at the local restaurants and finding all I need on Main, Elm and Front Streets.

“Appreciate what you’ve got” is the motto of the Re-Discover Washington blog and after three years of exploring downtown Washington, I can assure you that the more you look, the more you find. So, if you have not been shopping/eating/enjoying downtown enough, make sure you take time and do it in 2015.

Eat, shop, play downtown.

Eat, shop, play downtown.

I love how Downtown Washington Inc, the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Washington all work together to make our town so wonderful to live in! What we can do in return is to patronize the small family owned businesses and appreciate the efforts they make to offer us personalized and pleasant shopping/eating experiences. Who knows, maybe we will get that grocery store in 2015… 😉
